Crickhowell Adventure started way back in 1977 when Jeff Thomas and John Inns rented the basement of what was then ‘The Cheese Press’, (now Bookish) in the High Street, Crickhowell. They did not have an overabundance of stock in the early days and so as the shop was long and narrow with a large chimney breast in the middle, they would move stock across the shop while customers were at the far end to make it look as if there was more!
We have grown a bit since then and have more stock to sell thankfully, so we should have all your requirements. Our footwear range has grown in the last few years with ranges from AKU, Asolo, Dolomite, Grisport, Scarpa and Hanwag, offering different footwear for different feet and price ranges.
A new brand to our apparel range is Fjallraven who join our goodies from RAB, Montane, Sherpa Adventure Gear, Sprayway, Marmot and Keela. For such a small shop we manage to get loads in!
On top of these, we also stock stoves, food, gas, maps, compasses, the list is endless! Our aim is to make your day on the hill, whether walking, hiking or trekking, much more enjoyable.
