When you stay in Fan Cottage, you will find yourself at the centre of the beautiful Cnewr Estate in the Brecon Beacons National Park. This makes it a perfect destination for a family-friendly holiday or a long-weekend break for a group of friends. The cottage is ideal for active guests who want a walking holiday in the hills, valleys and lakes. This is also ideal territory for mountain biking enthusiasts and, at the end of a busy day, you can return to Fan Cottage with its spectacular views over Cray Reservoir.

However, if you prefer a more restful style of break, you might simply enjoy spending time in the beautifully refurbished cottage. You are in easy reach of the towns and villages of the Brecon Beacons National Park and Forest Fawr GeoPark. There are always plenty of things for you to do during your stay.

This beautiful cottage sleeps six people in one double bedroom, one twin/double and one twin bedroom. There is an upstairs bathroom with bath, over-bath shower and loo and a downstairs shower room with loo. There are plentiful communal areas downstairs where you can make plans for the day ahead, enjoy sharing a meal or simply sit and soak up the views. In addition to the fully fitted kitchen/diner, there’s a large sitting room with woodburner and TV/DVD, a snug with tv, outdoor games room.

Holiday visitors have immediate access to the estate for walking, mountain biking, picnicking and fly fishing on Crai Reservoir, plus a wide range of activities in the local area, including golf, pony trekking, quad biking, clay pigeon shooting and the beaches of the Gower coast.
 

What’s nearby in the Brecon Beacons

The Brecon Beacons National Park boasts a huge range of activities and attractions, all within easy reach of Cnewr Estate.
There is a good small supermarket in Sennybridge, about 5 miles from Cnewr, and a bigger selection of shops in the pretty market town of Brecon, about 15 miles away.
Heading south, the sea is only 25 miles away and can be seen from the top of the hills on the farm, on a clear day.
