Brecon Town Council opened it’s information service,
Visit Brecon, in 2018.

The service has been a great success to date, with a constant stream of visitors, holiday makers and local people popping in to find out what’s going on in Brecon and the surrounding area.

Visit Brecon is run by volunteers and two members of staff who will be glad to welcome you to our office, located at 11a Lion Yard, Brecon – just off Brecon’s main town centre car park.

Visit Brecon has the knowledge – if you want to know where to stay, where to go or what is on offer in the area then they will be sure to help you.

Satisfied customers from all over the world have already filled the visitors’ book with hundreds of comments – we look forward to you joining them.

You can also visit our website for further information, and find out what’s on by using our website Event Calendar.

Y Gaer

Brecon has a brand-new cultural hub: Y Gaer. It’s in the middle of town, houses the museum, library and art galleries and is a focal point for the arts across the county of Breconshire and beyond. The museum is home to many different exhibits of interest to all.
On account of its increased size the new museum is able to display many previously unseen artefacts. Local artwork is on permanent display while the John Lloyd Gallery will play host to  prestigious visiting exhibitions. There is also a cafe on site as well as a Changing Places toilet facility
