Bwlch with Altitude Challenge

**Entry by booking only**

Bwlch With Altitude is a popular walking challenge held annually in Llangorse & Bwlch since 2009.

Teams take part in this event by finding their own way round a marked route using a map provided. Whilst navigating the route, your team will have a quiz sheet to fill in, digital checkpoints to collect, photographs to take and marshals to say hello to!

The route follows the peaks (that’s the “altitude” bit!) between Bwlch and Llangorse, all providing a different perspective of the amazing views we have of the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains. The hills range in height from 393 to 508 metres, with the start point in Bwlch at 200m and the lowest point of the day at Llangorse Lake at 160m.

At registration, you will be provided with maps, quiz sheets and electronic wristbands that will track your team’s progress on a large screen at our HQ in Bwlch Village Hall.

When the course is complete, check back in at Bwlch Village Hall to return your wristbands, see the progress made by all teams on our large screen, and to collect your Bwlch With Altitude certificates which will show your team’s recorded time. There will also be prizes!

The winner is the team who visits the most checkpoints and answers the most quiz questions correctly and, in the case of a tie, the fastest time around. Prizes in other categories may include best team name, best photograph, spirit of the competition, etc.

Early Bird entry (until 31 May) is £9.50 (adult); £4.50 (junior): https://www.fabian4.co.uk/default.aspx?EventID=3724
