Sennybridge (Pontsenni), Defynnog and Crai

The villages of the Upper Usk Valley are surrounded by beautiful countryside and perfect for outside adventures. Tucked between the Mynydd Epynt and the Carmarthen Fans.
Close to the source of the River Usk, on the higher ground is Llyn y Fan Fach where legend tells the famous story of the Lady of the Lake, and her sons the Physicians of Myddfai.
Sennybridge – (Welsh – Pontsenni) – the largest village in the Upper Usk Valley which sits along the banks of the River Usk.  Has an active sheep market, shops and several local pubs.
Defynnog – famous for The Defynnog Yew which is believed to be over 5,000 years old, and thought to be one of the oldest tree in Europe and home to the International Welsh Rarebit Centre
Crai – meaning fresh, raw water, Crai is a small village in the heart of the Upper Usk Valley.
