Tinsel Twelve 12k, Turkey Ten & Half Marathon Du Mulled Wine

Brief Route Outline

Starting at our base in Llanbedr Village you will not be disappointed. The 12k will leave the base and head out through the village of Llanbedr. Passing the church you head down on the trails that lead to climb the Henbant. The summit of Crugmawr greets you allowing you some gentle but fast trails before you descend down the beautiful valley Vale of Grwyney. A short lane section to follow before you climb once again back up towards the Table Mountain and final fast but steep decent to the finish. Total ascent is 2220ft.

The Half Marathon & 10 mile – Starting at our base of in Llanbedr Village you will not be disappointed. Passing the church you head down on the trails that lead to climb the Henbant. The summit of Crugmawr greets you allowing you some gentle but fast trails before you descend down the beautiful valley of Partrishow, you will not be disappointed. Here the 10 mile split left and head into the forest following some beautifully technical trails before meeting the route back to the valley. The half keep following the Beacons way for a short section you will head towards the forest and Cadwgan. A gentle ascent will lead you through the Mynydd Du Forest with a technical section that never fails to amaze. Greeted by beautiful views of the surrounding Black Mountains you have a fast trail down through the Grwyney Vale Valley. A short lane section to follow before you climb once again back up towards the Table Mountain and final fast but steep decent to the finish. Total ascent is 3935ft and 2856ft for the 10 mile.

4 hr and 6 hr cut off time is allocated for the events – approx 9am – 3pm.

What to Expect

Camping and parking will be available close to the start of the race. Registration and kit check will be at Registration – time to be confirmed by email prior the event.

There will be a drop bag zone at the start/finish – items left at your own risk.

Our checkpoints are well stocked so you’ll be well fuelled throughout the day. We cater for all dietary requirements including vegans. At our checkpoints you can expect to be met with bananas, sweeties, biscuits, crisps, electrolytes, coke, squash, water and if you’re very lucky, some homemade cake.

Support crews, friends and families are more than welcome to attend the checkpoints however we do ask that runners take priority overall. Please be considerate of our neighbours at checkpoints – keep the noise down to a minimum and be considerate when parking.

During the event, you will also be supported by a full mobile medical unit. Support runners will be on the course at various locations if needed for vital support – all experienced within this Mountain Range.
