The nights might be well and truly closing in, but there is still plenty to do in the Brecon Beacons National Park as we head into Christmas.

Festive Things to Do in the Brecon Beacons

4. Theatr Brycheiniog

Theatr Brycheiniog has some fab winter events on the horizon and it’s not too late to book tickets.

  • The Nutcracker in December: Delight in the holiday classic showing on the 15th to the 17th of December.
  • Winter film screenings: Including Arthur Christmas and Miracle on 34th Street.
  • Westenders Pantomime in January: This year Cinderella is the chosen show – showing from the 19th to the 27th of January.

5. National Botanic Gardens of Wales – Luminate Trail

Immerse yourself in the enchanting Luminate Trail at the National Botanic Gardens of Wales:

6. Stargazing

Before the rush of the rush Christmas period gets too much why not take yourself out for some Dark Skies relief.

The Bannau Brycheiniog is a Dark Skies Reserve and that combined with the height of the Geminid Meteor Shower means, skies permitting, a perfect time to do some star gazing. The shower will peak around the 15th of December but will be visible until around the 20th of December.
