Brecon Beacons horseshoe ridge walk
A challenging upland mountain walk that takes you into the heart of the Central Brecon Beacons. The reward for this mountain walk are spectacular views when the weather is on your side.
This is a classic Brecon Beacons walk taking in the Brecon Beacons highest peaks; Corn Du (873m), Pen y Fan (886m) , Cribyn (795m) and Fan y Big (719m). The walk is mainly on good tracks but there are some boggy sections along the way. Please come prepared for unpredictable mountain weather.

Start at Taf Fechan car park, grid ref: SO038169
Then follow the ridge around towards Corn Du. From Corn Du we head around to Pen y fan and Cribyn where there are amazing views over to the Camarthen Fans on a clear day. You descend on to the Gap road and follow a path back to the car park.
