Come and view our nearest star (the Sun) SAFELY through specialist and purposely designed telescopes. All life on Earth depends on it!

Cardiff Astronomical Society will be at the Brecon Beacons National Park Visitor Centre, Libanus on Saturday September 24th between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. for the public to do SAFE solar viewing, maybe view some sunspots, prominences, or flares. There will be plenty of information available courtesy of the Science and Technology Facilities Council to help you understand what you are observing. No need to book and the event is FREE.

NEVER look at the Sun directly or without specialist and purposely designed equipment. Permanent eye damage or blindness will result.

*All observing is weather dependent of course, and hopefully the Sun will put on a good show. But whatever the weather, we will be there with plenty of information.
