Goytre Wharf is a 200 year old industrial heritage site that now includes a busy visitor centre and marina on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.

The centre has plenty to offer including exhibitions and events, canal trips and children’s activities. The area around the centre has canal side and woodland walks, lots of wildlife to see and audio boxes interpreting the lime kilns.

How to get there: The visitor centre is signposted off the A4042 between Mamhilad and Llanover.

Distance: There are short walks from the car park and visitor centre with longer walks along the canal towpath.

Facilities: The visitor centre includes a gift and coffee shop which is open 10am - 4pm all year round. There is a wheelchair available for use on site.

Parking: There is a large compacted stone-dust car park close to centre. The route down to the centre is slightly sloping.

Toilets: Toilets, including a disabled access toilet, are in the visitor centre.
