Ty Newydd currently has four self catering cottages which are just 4 miles south of Brecon, surrounded by lush Welsh farmland with the Monmouth and Brecon canal winding past. With views of colourful canal boats and the mountains there is always something to see. It is a great base for hiking, biking and boating. Local villages provide plenty of pubs and eateries.
Dragonfly Cottage – up to 4. Once an old coach house it now has a modern kitchen and bathroom but still retains its rustic charm. Sleeps up to 4, in two bedrooms – one double, one twin. Open plan kitchen, diner and sitting area. Small patio area.
Bullrush Barn – up to 6. A super-comfortable barn. Child, baby and dog-friendly. Sleeps up to 6, in three bedrooms – two doubles, one twin. Open plan kitchen, diner and sitting area. Down stairs toilet and family bathroom upstairs. Separate shower. Private garden, patio area with seating.
Marina View – up to 6. The largest of the barn conversions. Child, baby and dog-friendly. Sleeps up to 6, in three bedrooms – two doubles, one twin. Open plan kitchen, diner and large sitting area. One bath and one Shower room. Private garden, patio area with seating.
Captain Lookout – 2 people. A modern studio apartment. This has an elevated position up old granary steps looking over the canal boat marina, down the Usk Valley, a great couple get away, available for short breaks.
Location: Ty Newydd is a beautiful and quiet location, just off the A40, within easy driving of Brecon, Crickhowell and Hay-on-Wye. A very central location for exploring the National Park.
