Nestling into the hillside, above the Swansea and Neath valleys are Tan yr Eglwys Cottages and the family farm. Set in the hamlet of Cilybebyll, the cottages and a small cluster of houses surround the ancient parish church. Around the cottages are fields, hills , streams and woodland where cattle, sheep and horses graze. There’s always an opportunity to befriend the ponies or feed the hens and possibly even find some fresh eggs for breakfast!
The cottages have a long history, their origins over 400 years ago are of agricultural dwellings where animals were kept at ground level with living accommodation above.  The nearby farmland  is in the family for the fifth generation, originally (a dairy farm) supplying the locality with fresh milk.
The cottages have been beautifully renovated, now providing all that is expected of luxurious 4* accommodation – a home from home and so much more.
The location provides a peaceful setting, a great place to relax in, or a base from which to easily explore South Wales. It is difficult to imagine the peaceful oasis that is just 20 minutes from the M4. The location is just 20 minutes from the M4 and convenient to discover almost all / the many delights of South Wales, from the wild waterfalls in hidden valleys, the (Gower) coastline / the beautiful beaches and Brecon Beacons / rugged – spectacular mountains.
You will always have a warm, personal welcome, tea, coffee and cake to refresh after your journey.
The cottages contain comprehensive tourist information, personal itineraries are often suggested and advice is always on hand to make your stay memorable.
We look forward to welcoming you at Tan yr Eglwys Cottages.
Helen, Allen & family.
