10 Dulas Terrace is located in a quiet corner of Hay -on-Wye backing on to the Dulas Brook, it is a two bedroom end of terrace cottage with two bedrooms one with a kingsize bed and the other a single bed, so comfortably sleeps 3 people.
The house is fully centrally heated as well as having a gas fired log burner in the lounge and underfloor heating in the bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with an integrated cooker, hob and grill, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave as well as a good size fridge/ freezer.
The bathroom as a large walk in shower unit as well as underfloor heating, a treat after a shower.
Lounge sofa and armchair a gasfired log burner, tv, dvd plus dining table and chairs.
Wifi signal very good. Mobile phone signal depends on your network but most will work
Allocated parking for two cars parked in tandem.
Outside the garden has two patios one near the house, with a second one looking over the Dulas Brook where if you are lucky you can watch otters play, kingfisher catch their lunch and Dunnocks nesting close by, and if you really lucky you could even see a hedgehog or two wandering along the river bank.
We also have secure storage for bikes and fishing gear with heating available should they need drying off.
Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and pub in Hay as well as being only meters away from Offas Dyke and Wye Valley Walk two fabulous national trails, as well as a variety of other circular walks in varying lengths. Some suggestions have been left in the house for you use.
Tucked away in a quiet corner away from the hustle and bustle of Hay you are still in easy reach of the town facilities as well as having river walks close by, many locals don’t realise this little gem is there. The local supermarket is open 6.00am – 11.00om every day except Sunday and then it is 10.00am – 4.00pm, and is only 4 minutes walk away, less in a car.
The house has been in the family ownership for 30 plus years and this is our first venture in to Holiday lettings. We have for many years used holiday lets ourselves and know the frustration of not having what you need to make life comfortable while on holiday our niggle is an egg poacher… each to their own as they say. So hopefully we have addressed all those niggles but if we haven’t we ask our guests to let us know and if we can reasonably resolve it while you are there we will do our best, but if not we will aim to have it done for our next guests.
Hay is a vibrant town with many independent shops selling an amazing variety of items as well as the many book shops it is well known for. It has great walks, canoe trips, bike routes as well as fishing on its door step and not too far away the Brecon Beacons and all that has to offer and the slightly less known Radnorshire hills. The restaurants in Hay vary from a fabulous fish and chip shop, Indian take away and restaurant to great pub food, a tapas bar, food with Jazz to suggest a few, we have put a list of what is available in the town in the house but out of town with in a 5-10 mile radius there is even more choice.
Included in the stay are bed linen and towels, a welcome basket of tea/ coffee and a treat.
