We are only a few minutes drive from the base of “Bannau Brycheinog Brecon Beacons” mountains and Pen-y-fan the highest point in south wales and from the cottage you can walk up through the village up onto Mynydd Iltyd a tranquil place to enjoy easy walking countryside and wonderful panoramic views or take a further walk to the visitor centre for a cream tea while relaxing with the amazing views of the National Park, later participate in a stargazing experiences offered by Dark Skies Wales. Or you can drive to the visitors center and enjoy the view while charging your electric car. Other local towns Crickhowell offering galleries and artisan shops, Hay-on-Wye with its books and antiques and Thursday street market of local produce.
