Damson Cottage is an upper 4* Star graded holiday cottage for two.
Damson cottage has an old flagged stone floor and retains many features from the original farm building. The wood burning stove is easy to use in the sitting area and there is a comfortable sofa, two armchairs and a colour TV, DVD and Hi-Fi System. French windows open out into the garden that has garden furniture and a BBQ during the summer months. The dining area has a table and chairs and the open plan kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, freezer, micro-wave, electric cooker, dishwasher, and a washing/drying machine. The cottage is centrally heated and the wood burning stove makes the cottage very cosy in the winter months. There is a plentiful supply of logs kept in the near-by pig cot where guests can also store their bicycles and walking boots.
The bedroom is upstairs and is spacious with superb views and a king-size bed that is very comfortable. The bathroom has a normal sized bath with power shower and mixer tap; the hand basin has a light with shaver socket above it. When the moon is full and the sky is clear you can sometimes see it rising above the hills from the bedroom which looks very dramatic especially if it is bright orange colour! The constellation can be spectacular with so little light pollution and often shooting stars can clearly be seen moving across the skies not to mention the plough, north star and a multitude of others!
Duck Cottage is a delightful barn which has recently been converted into a luxury cottage for two people retaining many of the old features. 4 miles from the historic market town of Brecon, Duck cottage is in a rural area and has views of the stunning Welsh countryside from every window.
Duck Cottage is graded upper 4* Stars by Visit Wales and is tastefully furnished with a choice of selecting either a super king-size or two generous single beds on booking. This excellently equipped and comfortable ground floor cottage provides delightful accommodation for two. Guests can relax in the sitting room or outside during the summer months on the south facing terrace complete with garden furniture and BBQ and enjoy the view towards the Brecon Beacons.
Both the bedroom and sitting room are spacious and have French windows leading out onto the sunny patio. The cottage is fully centrally heated and even during the coldest winter months guests can enjoy looking at the spectacular views towards the Brecon Beacons through the large sitting room window whilst relaxing and being cosy in front of the wood burning stove. Duck Cottage has lovely views of the surrounding fields and hills with an abundance of wildlife, flora, fauna and many types of birds to observe.
The village pub is within easy walking distance and serves good food.
