Stay Somewhere Green

Brecon Beacons National Park is getting greener!

As a National Park, there is already a huge amount of effort being put into conserving and managing the countryside. Now businesses are getting involved and together we are aiming to become one of the greenest destinations around.

All the businesses below have achieved the Green Dragon award, which shows they are improving their energy efficiency, recycling, water use and they are aiming to reduce their negative impact on the environment as much as possible. Please email us if you would like a ‘Stay Somewhere Green!’ leaflet or download it now.

Green Dragon is the Welsh environmental accreditation scheme set up by the Welsh Assembly and managed by Arena Network. For the technically minded, Green Dragon is an environmental management system that links into international standards such as ISO 14001. For everyone else, it gives us the confidence that your hosts are looking after the environment every bit as carefully as they will look after you.

The Brecon Beacons Green Dragon programme is being supported by the new COLLABOR8 project and funded by the EU's Interreg IVB NWE programme.
