Great holidays today for a better tomorrow
As a National Park, there is already a huge amount of effort being put into conserving and managing the countryside – it’s what we do. And as one of the nation’s most spectacular protected landscapes, it’s no wonder a lot of people love to holiday here. We want to make yourholiday special and because we’re a National Park we’re thinking ahead so future visitors can continue to enjoy fabulous destination holidays in this special destination. That’s why from places to stay, things to do and getting around the Brecon Beacons without a car - protecting the environment and supporting local communities in the places you love to visit are some of our top priorities.
In our Greener Holidays brochure we’ve brought together all of our Green Tourism Business Scheme award winners so you can be sure that your accommodation or the business you are using is working hard to look after the environment, the economy and the people of the Brecon Beacons every bit as well as they look after you.
You’ll find out in the pages of this booklet what else we’re doing to help you have a greener holiday and what part you, our visitors, can play too. If we all take some responsibility, Brecon Beacons National Park will
continue to be great place to live, work and visit.
Our work to make holidays greener is based on the fact that wherever we go and whatever we do, we have an impact. With better choices, you can have richer experiences and make that impact on the places you
love to visit with a positive one.
We hope you have a fantastic holiday!
