Here's all the information you need to get to festivals in the greenest ways possible.
Abergavenny Food Festival 19th - 20th September 2009
By coach: there are regular long-distance services to Newport (contact your National Express travel agent) connecting with National Welsh and Red and White services to Abergavenny.
By train:Abergavenny is served by fast and frequent services on the Cardiff to Manchester line. Connections from London Paddington, Bristol and the South West of England are available at Newport. Connections from Birmingham are available at Hereford.
By car: The M4 from London, the South-East and Home Counties, the A40 via the Cotswolds, Gloucester and Monmouth. The M6, M5, M50 and A40 from the North and Midlands or through the Welsh Marches by way of the A449, A465 or A46. Head towards Abergavenny then please follow the Festival signage to the nearest car park.
Park and Ride/Walk: To avoid congestion in the town centre, there will be 4 special car parks:
Castle Meadows Park & Walk - (10 minute walk) Access off A465 Heads of the Valleys Road
Bailey Park, Park & Walk - (5 minute walk) Access off A465 (Hereford to Abergavenny Road)
Park and Ride x 2 - Facilities will also be available on the Saturday. These will be clearly signed off the main trunk roads.
