The Park Society also offers guided walks of a more challenging nature every Friday,Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday (no Friday walks between October and February). Non-members will be asked to make a donation of £5.00 each per walk; half price for the under16s, the unemployed and students. Cymdeithas Edward Llwyd, the Welsh language walking group, has a programme of walks from March to August 2010 a few of which are taking place within the National Park and Fforest Fawr Geopark.
Talgarth Festival
Talgarth Festival is taking place on 28 & 29 August 2010.
Sunday 29 August 2010 at Llangynidr Village hall and surrounding Show fields will be officially opened by Rugby Star Andy Powell at 12:00 midday.

Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells
Featuring Rhydian Roberts and Sarah Jane Davies.
Rhydian has played to sell-out crowds around the UK, performed numerous times on television and now he is coming home to star in this special celebrity concert being held in support of Brecknockshire which, in 2012, will be the feature county of the Royal Welsh Show.
Also performing in the show is Royal College of Music graduate and soprano, Sarah Jane Davies who, like Rhydian, is from Sennybridge. In 2007 she was Welsh representative in BBC Cardiff's Singer of the World competition in 2007.
They will be joined by Ystradgynlais and Gyrlais Male Voice Choirs, Cantorion Trallong, Builth Ladies Choir and WI Singers.

A Taste of Tywi-Community Food Festival

This popular annual Festival will be held on the 18th & 19th September 2010.
Following on from this year's successful Festival, Crickhowell will be hosting another one next year from Saturday 26th February to Sunday 6th March 2011.
Brecon Jazz 2011 dates are due to be announced in September.
Green Man Festival 2011 dates are due to be announced later this year.
