This year’s Hay Food Festival will will be even greener and tastier it will run at Hay on Wye from 10.00am until 4.30pm on 28 June 2008. Visitors will be in for a treat as the food and drink producers again showcase some of the best products from across Wales. From organic and dairy produce to meat, ice cream, cakes and drinks, the Hay food fest has more than 45 stands selling a wide variety of food and drink.
The event is supported by the Welsh Assembly Government and Brecon Beacons National Park. It has built up a reputation for quality and diversity and is one of the ‘must see’ attractions for food show goers. Many of the exhibiting companies are winners of the prestigious True Taste of Wales Awards. This year is quite special because the food festival is proudly planning to go plastic bag free. We are encouraging visitors to bring their own bags to take away their goodies as part of the on-going effort to make Hay plastic bag free - the National Park stand will also be selling environmentally friendly cotton bags on the day.
Here is an exclusive sneak preview of some of the mouthwatering new products which will be on offer
