Brecon Mountain Railway

Travel by narrow gauge steam train through beautiful scenery in the Brecon Beacons National Park on one of the most popular routes in Wales.

One railway carriage has been designed to carry wheelchairs. There is an internal ramp from the booking office to the gift shop and platform. The train stops alongside Pontsticill Reservoir, which has a level platform and views over the surrounding hills.

How to get there: Pant Railway Station is a few miles north of Merthyr Tydfil and south of the Pontsticill Reservoir. Follow the train symbol on brown signposts from the A465.
