Carreg Cennen Woodland Walk

This route follows some of the path up to the castle then drops down into the valley below the castle. The slope is reasonably steep and can be slippery when wet. There are some narrow drains/culverts to cross. There are several gates to pass through, which leads onto a narrow lane back to the castle car park.

 

How to get there: The castle is located and signposted from the village of Trap, Ammanford (6km) and Llandeilo (6km).

Nearest town or village: Trap and Ammanford.

Distance: 2.5km

Facilities: There is a tea room and toilets at the castle. The nearest facilities are in Llandeilo or Ammanford.

Parking: A large tarmac car park is at the base of the castle hill.

Toilets: There are toilets, including a disabled access toilet, in the main car park.
