Rural Alliances

RURAL ALLIANCES is an exciting new sustainable tourism project within the Brecon Beacons. It is funded under the Interreg IVB North West Europe programme. The project contributes to a more cohesive EU Society as it derives from a cooperation of people from different countries working on common issues that touch the lives of EU-citizens.

RURAL ALLIANCES follows on from COLLABOR8, (also funded by Interreg), learning its lessons and building on its work.  It will support the formation of Alliances between tourism businesses and their local communities to develop tourism locally.

There are 12 partners in Rural Alliances from France, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany as well as two from Wales, BBNPA and Trinity St Davids University.

BBNPA is proud to be Lead Partner for this project.

A summary description of how the project will be implemented in the Brecon Beacons is available here
