Now that I’m mainly covering the waterfalls area I need to get to know the area much better so today I walked a few more paths in the locality including a really nice route up over Carnau Gwynion common. Along the route is a hillfort and an area of stunning liestone paving. Some of the fields around the hillfort look as though they could be unimproved grassland and they support a rich diversity of flowers including harebells Campanula roundifolia.
