A Exciting New Volunteer Scheme that allows Volunteers to Help with the Monitoring and Maintenance of Upland Paths in the Black Mountains
This fantastic new scheme will allow volunteers the opportunity to assist in the Maintenance and Monitoring of Upland Paths in the Black Mountains on the Eastern side of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
This Scheme will allow Volunteers to contribute work flexibly and remotely for the first time, undertaking light Maintenance duties such as clearing drainage features and removing loose materials from pitching helping to protect previously repaired paths.
Undertaking Monitoring and Recording work will also be an invaluable resource in indentifying areas of concern and possible future works to be undertaken, Volunteers will receive training and be encouraged to take part in larger scale annual tasks as a group.
Volunteers will require aptitude and fitness for working self reliantly in remote upland terrain more details can be found in the Role Profile and Scheme Introduction.
