Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA)

A Habitata Regulations Assessment (HRA) is a requirement of the Habitat Directive as set out in the amended Habitats Regulations (2007).

This report details the HRA screening process for the Brecon Beacons National Park Managment Plan (NPMP). The HRA also sets out the methods, findings and conclutions of the screening stage of the HRA.

The screeing considerd the potential for impacts to arise from the NPMP's Aims, Strategic Objectives and Actions; and the likelihood that any potential impacts arising would result in likely significant effects on the twelve European sites scoped into the screening process. The screening was undertaken iteratively alongside the development of the NPMP and the findings from the first phase screening (November 2008) were reviewed and re-asseseed in line the the updates to the plan (May 2009).
