Draft Management Plans

The Brecon Beacons National Park Authority (BBNPA) and its partners are preparing a new management plan for the National Park, entitled Managing Change Together.

The Plan lays out 20-year strategies and 5-year actions by and for everyone delivering its purposes and duty, or concerned about the Park’s future.

 

 NPMP Consultation Draft Version 2

 NPMP Consultation Draft Version 2 (click on link above) of the new plan is now being distributed for public consultation.  Please share your comments with us.  Comments should be sent in writing to the National Park Management Plan Officer at BBNPA, Plas y Ffynnon, Cambrian Way, Brecon LD3 8PJ or made on-line to enquiries@breconbeacons.org by 14th September 2009.  Please specify the matters to which the comments relate as per the Reviewer’s Guide included on page 13 of Consultation Draft Version 2.  When the consultation period has finished, comments received will be considered during the preparation of the final Management Plan.

 

 NPMP Consultation Draft Version 1

 Draft Version 2 includes changes made in response to comments received from over 250 respondents during the first consultation period (click on link above for a copy of NPMP Draft Version 1).  Consultation on the first draft of the new Management Plan took place between March and August 2008.  Draft Version 2 has also been informed by the Sustainability Appraisal (SA) and Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA) which can be found using the links on the left navigation bar.
