Teddy bears picnic in the Park
Children and adults in the Brecon Beacons National Park are being invited to bring their teddies to a special Teddies Day out at the National Park Visitor Centre, near Libanus on Sunday 27th July from 12pm to 4pm.
The free fun – which is open to young and old has been organised to help celebrate National Parks’ Week in true teddy style. As well as a little Teddy Bear’s picnic, children will be able to learn how to make a shelter for their teddy, have a go at playing with a parachute, create a farm jig saw, animal masks, mini scarecrows, try their hands at willow weaving. For the adults, a selection of local arts and crafts will be available to purchase.
Ageliki Politis, Warden for Brecon Beacons National Park Authority said: “This Sunday is the perfect opportunity for families to enjoy a fun packed afternoon experiencing the local produce from this area. Food and farming is an important part of life in the Brecon Beacon National Park so we hope to see as many people as possible enjoying the fantastic range of activities and magnificent views that our Park has to offer.”
The Tea Rooms and gift shop will be open all day, admission is free although there is a small car parking charge.
