Cycling
Staying on dry land, there are some great waterside bike rides to be had in the National Park. Pictured on the right is the steep climb of the Taff Trail over the Beacons, high above Talyboint Reservoir, just one of the routes featuring on the National Park Authority's online mountain bike guide.
If you don't appreciate going uphill, the Canal towpath may be just the place for your cycling ambitions, with restrictions having being lifted on canal-side cycling. The stretch eastwards out of Brecon again coincides with the Taff Trail and makes a great day out for a family bike ride.
Pedal not paddle
Forgotten your bike? - no worries (or dim problim in Welsh),there are plenty of places in the Park where you can hire one. (link)
