Work Experience Fortnight

This year's work experience fortnight was again a great success, so why don't you come and experience working for the National Park in 2009? This is a great opportunity to get outdoors and take part in varied activities, participating in practical and written work with National Park staff and volunteers.

Work Experience Practical Pupils on Work Experience participate in footpath work. Work Experience children pond dipping. Work Experience Pupils out and about in the National Park.

Work Experience

Following another successful year, the Authority's work experience programme for 2009 will take the same format.  The Authority will take students (Year 10 pupils are given first priority) for two weeks (6th to 16th July 2009) where they will follow a specially designed and varied programme, allowing them to see many of the aspects of the National Park Authority's work. We will be taking a maximum of 8 students coming from a variety of different schools.

The Authority is offering two-week placements only, so if you require a one-week placement then we will not be able to offer you a place.

Any students wishing to participate in the full programme please reply to Linda Harley at the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority address telling us why you would like to join our work experience programme.  Please get in touch as early as possible since we have many requests for work experience each year and the places are allocated on a first come, first serve basis.  We look forward to hearing from you!
