- Eco-Centres is a long-term programme and the award needs to be renewed every three years.
Why Do the Eco-Centres Award?

- it is a programme for managing and accrediting work we are already doing.
- it is enjoyable and rewarding, for us and for our visitors.
- we can influence visitors to adopt environmentally friendly behaviours.
- we are able to involve the local community and schools
- it is a way of fostering good links with other Eco-Centres all over Europe.
