How do I get there?
Transport to and from Danywenallt should be arranged by the school. . Danywenallt is located about 9 miles by road SSE of Brecon It lies near the Talybont reservoir which is situated next to the road between Talybont on Usk and Merthyr Tydfil.
Schools usually use a coach. Park the coach at the end of the dam as it is not possible to get the vehicle over the reservoir dam. If you phone the Centre as you are going through Talybont we can have a minibus waiting by the roadside for you to collect your luggage. It’s then a short walk of about 600 metres down to the Centre. This gives you a chance to have a look at the area and get some fresh air after the coach journey.
The nearest railway station is at Abergavenny about 20 miles from Danywenallt.
