Adventure Activities Licence details
We hold an Adventure Activities Licence. This means that we have been inspected by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA), and our risk analysis and management systems were found to be satisfactory. You can find out more information about the licence on the Licensing Authority’s website http://www.aala.org/ . Our licence number is L7179 and the reference number is R1250.
Our Staff competence and qualifications
All activity leaders are trained Walking Group Leaders or Mountain Leaders (Summer) andreceive regular first aid training relevant to their field. Copies of their certificates (or statements of competence signed by an appropriately experienced and qualified person, consistent with the requirements of the Licensing Regulations) are available for inspection.
Risk assessments/Operational procedures for Adventure Activities
These are inspected as part of our Adventure Activities Licence.
Child protection policy
Our policy is consistent with current good practice in this area. It forms part of our recruitment procedure. All activity leaders are subject to Criminal Records Bureau enhanced disclosures.
Insurance arrangements

Our Insurance Company is Norwich Union and our Policy number is 24167216 CCI.

We have annual cover and our Employers liability is £10,000,000 for any one occurrence.

Our Public liability cover is £5,000,000 for any one claim.
Fire protection
We carry out a fire risk assessment at all properties where we lead educational activities. We check fire alarms weekly and we keep records of our checks. We carry out regular full evacuation drills at our learning Centres.
