A future direction for Fforest Fawr Geopark
VISION

By 2020, Fforest Fawr Geopark will be recognised as being one of the foremost examples in Europe of generating social, environmental and economic benefits from a designated landscape.

It will achieve this by focusing on the geological, biological and cultural heritage, involving a wide range of agencies, businesses, communities and visitors in partnership working.
OBJECTIVES
Through efficient and effective partnership working, Fforest Fawr Geopark will:
- retain, develop and promote active membership of the European Geoparks Network and Global Geoparks Network
- develop landscape-scale conservation of geodiversity, biodiversity and cultural heritage
- improve the visitor experience, particularly by developing information, interpretation and sustainable recreation
- support & promote sustainable tourism and other forms of sustainable economic development
- act as a focus for environmental/earth sciences education and research
- engage local communities in working towards sustainable development
- seek to include all sectors of society in developing its work
- use its heritage to encourage partners, visitors, businesses and communities to address the challenges of climate change
- monitor impacts of the Geopark on economy, environment and community well-being
