The popular Geofest Activity Day is back for another year! Taking place at Craig y nos Country Park on Wednesday 29th May, 10am-4pm, the event offers lots of FREE* activities for all the family including:

Canoeing on the lake
Stone Carving with Ollie Annaly
Playtime with Brecknock Play Network
Have fun whilst learning traditional skills in needle-felting workshops, using hand dyed wool (Age 8+) with FfolkyFfelt
Nature discovery with The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales - WTSWW
Learn about the ancient crafts of spinning, weaving and dyeing with Tawe Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers
Dig around in a mini excavation pit with Dyfed Archaeological Trust
Lawn games with Criw Craggy, Friends of Craig-y-nos Country Park
Make and take with Brecon Beacons National Park
Information and badge making with Powys Fostering Service

Visit the Geology tent to find out more about the rocks of the Geopark, fossil rubbing, gold panning and more. The tent will be hosted by the South Wales Geologists Association.
*There is a parking charge for the day; £5 per car and £10 per minibus.
Changing Seasons Restaurant will be open for refreshments and ice creams and there is the wider Country Park to explore with local Craft shops and the duck pond. Why not make a day of it!
