Gardens and Allotments

Gardens and allotments provide an incredibly diverse collection of habitats for wildlife. While each of us may only have a small piece to call our own, collectively this creates a unique mixture of different conditions and an important resource for wildlife.

Whether large or small, every garden is a home to wildlife. Trees and shrubs provide nest sites for birds, while the array of flowers will all attract bees and butterflies throughout the summer. Even a small ponds can be home to dozens of insects as well as frogs and newts.
