Ecology and Planning
It is the first purpose of the National Park to ensure that the outstanding wildlife and landscape is conserved. In the role of the Planning Authority, the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority has an obligation to ensure that development is appropriate for the National Park and that it does not damage the special landscape and wildlife around us.
The presence of protected species and priority conservation habitats can have an effect on development and planning applications.
