Cyfarthfa Castle, Museum & Gallery
Cyfarthfa Castle is surrounded by parkland. The main building includes displays on history of iron making, collection of 19th century paintings, pottery & porcelain, eastern antiques, brass bands and changing temporary exhibitions.
The main entrance has a flight of wide steps with a ramp at the side of the building. Most of the exhibits are on one level with a stair lift to exhibitions in the basement. Most of the paths in the grounds have a tarmac surface and the circular route in the park has some shallow slopes. There are resting points along the paths and a picnic area. Some of the routes in the park have vehicle access. Wheelchair users may require assistance to enter the building.
How to get there: Cyfarthfa Castle is situated alongside the A4054 north of Merthyr Tydfil.

Facilities: Please phone for opening times and other accessibility details. Admission is free and there is also a café providing traditional Welsh fayre. A wheelchair is available for loan. There is a bus service from Merthyr Tydfil bus station which has links from mid and south Wales.
