Abergavenny

Abergavenny is a thriving market town with an excellent range of shops and well-deserved reputation for food.

High quality butchers, its very own vineyard and a renowned fishmongers can be found here, whilst the Food Festival in September has a national reputation. The impressive castle ruins dominate the Usk Valley, a short walk from the town centre and are home to a great museum.

Abergavenny is well served by trains from Newport, Hereford and Manchester with easy connections from England and South Wales. Sugarloaf Mountain, the Blorenge and the Skirrid fringe the town making you feel right in the mountains but not hemmed in by them.

Abergavenny is truly the gateway to the National Park.
