From Easter to the end of October,The Unusual Food Company, based in Ystalyfera in the Swansea Valley,will be serving delicious food at the Country Park every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from 10am to 4pm.
Why not come and enjoy the picturesque surroundings of the Country Park and lake whilst savouring freshly cooked local meats and home cured bacon with free range eggs, enjoy a cup of freshly made Welsh Brew Tea or coffee, a selection of Frobishers chilled fruit juices and fresh spring water or a cream tea in the afternoon!
Specialising in breads, sweet and savoury pastries, vegetarian food and dietary foods using as many local ingredients as possible, they pride themselves on using local food producers for their ingredients where possible and Fairtrade produce.
There will also be a selection of locally produced chutneys, jams, marmalades and Welsh honey, freshly baked bread and pastries
available to purchase and savour at home.
You’ll find tall trees, two rivers, ponds and meadows to walk around and enjoy. We have plenty of seats and picnic benches too. Most of the paths in the Country Park are on level or gently sloping ground and some have hard surfaces.
Dogs are welcome but on leads please. We have one dog waste bin in the car park. Dogs are not permitted in the Hay Meadow area while sheep are grazing (winter months only – see local signs).

The Visitor Centre is open most days where you can see our exhibition A Park within a Park which shows you the similarities and differences between a Country Park and a National Park.
The shop and information desk is open on weekends and school holidays between Easter and September. At other times, if you meet staff on duty, they will be able to help answer your queries.
