Chris Gledhill is Chief Executive (National Park Officer) and has overall responsibility for the efficient running of the National Park Authority.

The Chief Executive's Office supports him in this role. It is responsible for:-

  • Strategy and Policy
  • Public Relations and Communications
  • Committee and Member Services - Regulatory Services

Both the following officers are employed by the Authority, on a part-time basis, to report directly to the Members on aspects of the Authority's operations and performance.

  • Monitoring officer - The monitoring officer ensures that proper procedures are followed in all aspects of the National Park Authority's work.
  • Chief financial officer (Section 151 Officer)- The Chief Financial Officer monitors the financial systems of the National Park Authority. He is responsible for the proper administration of the Authority's financial affairs.
