Services and Staff

The day-to-day running of the Park is carried out by a skilled and professional staff headed by the Chief Executive.

Most of the staff are based at the Park's administrative headquarters in Brecon although some work at the Mountain Centre, Craig-y-nos Country Park and Danywenallt Study Centre. The National Park Authority has two main departments: Business and Planning Services and Countryside and Land Management. 

Effective liaison with all the other organisations involved in the management of the Park is an essential part of the work of the National Park Authority.

The Authority's work is divided into two main services, under the overall direction of the Chief Executive - Chief Executive's Office

Performance - headed up by Audrey Oakley, Deputy Chief Executive.

Business and Development - headed up by Lesley Kirkpatrick; includes the Planning Services, Strategy and Policy and Business Unit.

Countryside and Land Management - headed up by John Cook; includes Recreation Management, Visitor Services, AROW, Wardens, Education Services and Land Management.
