Cllr Davies worked for 12 years as a TV producer with HTV and is now a founder director of Tinopolis TV, with extensive experience of media. His voluntary work extends to chairing numerous boards with the Presbyterian Church in Wales, and working with the local drama group and Choir. He has organised local church children and youth volunteer groups. He is a fluent Welsh speaker and has also been a school governor. Cllr Davies was elected to the Quarter Bach ward of Carmarthenshire County Council in May 2012 and subsequently appointed to the National Park Authority.
