Responsibilities: Rights of way maintenance and conservation projects, liaising with farmers and landowners, working with volunteers, schools and youth projects. Working on land the Authority owns helping to manage projects.

I started working for the Authority in 1989 as an Estate Warden and later as an Area Warden having worked in the East of the park for all of this time I have got to know many of the landowners and contractors which I find very useful in my day to day role. In my time as a Warden I have seen the designation of Blaenavon Industrial Landscape as a World Heritage site, the implementation of Open access and the effect foot mouth disease had on rural communities.

I grew up in the Grwyne fechan valley in the Black mountains on my parent’s hill farm and now live in Monmouthshire with my family who keep me busy when not in work, any time left over I’m currently spending renovating our home.
