Draft Development Brief March 2008 Cwrt Y Gollen is a site allocated for "mixed use" in the Authority Approved Unitary Development Plan (UDP).  Appendix 9 of the UDP contains Development Principles for the site. 

The site lies between Crickhowell and Glangrwyney.  The location and context of the site can be seen in the following aerial maps:

The Development Principles are a starting point for a more detailed Development Brief to be approved by the National Park Authority as a basis for the eventual submission of a planning application.   The National Park Authority has set up a Steering Group to fulfill this task. 

By bringing together representatives from all the key authorities, the aim is to work together to achieve an agreed vision for the development of the site.

Membership of the Steering Group includes

• local community councillors - from Vale of Grwyney Community Council and Crickhowell Town Council. 
• County Councillors from Powys CC and Monmouthshire CC,
• the landowners and consultants,
• Members of the National Park Authority
• Officers of the National Park Authority
• Officers of Powys County Council

In addition the Steering Group has set up three Sub-Groups to look more closely at:

• Design Considerations;
• Facilities and Services;
• Community Impact and Enhancement.

Membership of the Sub-Groups includes representatives from agencies and organizations with specific expertise as well local community interests.
