Work Experience Fortnight
Although the weather wasn't always dry the 2007 work experience pupils still showed a lot of enthusiasm for the tasks given and worked extremely hard. Why don't you come and experience working for the National Park in 2008? This is a great opportunity to get outdoors and take part in varied activities, participating in practical and written work with National Park staff and volunteers.
Work Experience
Following another successful year, the Authority's work experience programme for 2008 will take the same format. The Authority will take students (Year 10 pupils are given first priority) for two weeks (7th to 17th July 2008) where they will follow a specially designed and varied programme, allowing them to see many of the aspects of the National Park Authority's work. We will be taking a maximum of 8 students coming from a variety of different schools.
The Authority is offering two-week placements only, so if you require a one-week placement then we will not be able to offer you a place.
Any students wishing to participate in the full programme please reply to Linda Harley at the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority address telling us why you would like to join our work experience programme. Please get in touch as early as possible since we have many requests for work experience each year and the places are allocated on a first come, first serve basis. We look forward to hearing from you!
