Outreach

A brief summary of the outreach services provided by the National Park Education Team.

Activities at School

We aim to meet the needs of all school groups by providing different educational activities for groups of all ages and abilities. Our programmes have been developed to be relevant to the National Curriculum, current GCSE, A and A/S, AVCE syllabuses and National Park purposes. Whether you are interested in making the most of your school grounds for educational purposes, want to use the environment as inspiration for creative work/PSE, would like to develop a lunch-time or after school environment club, or have a slide presentation on the work and role of the BBNPA our staff will be happy to help.

Staff can also assist by providing activities on the biodiversity, historic landscape and geography of the BBNP. The National Park Treasure Chest is a great interactive tool through which to deliver many of these topics. Alternatively, special programmes can be tailored to meet the needs of the group.
