YHA Danywenallt National Park Study Centre

Located next to the Talybont Reservoir, this converted farmhouse offers a warm welcome to all. The Centre provides a wide range of activities to groups of all ages and programmes can be tailored to meet their specific needs. Programmes can be tailored to meet the specific needs of groups. It is an ideal place from which to explore the Brecon Beacons area.

Whether you are a teacher looking for an educational adventure, an amateur naturalist, or keen walker, a warm welcome awaits you with comfortable accommodation, excellent food and stunning views.

Revel in the glorious colours of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Explore the woodlands, rushing streams, high ridges and sheltered valleys during the day. Our knowledgeable guides will open your eyes to the landscape, flora, fauna and history of the passing scenes. Return to sample the flavours of the region with our delicious and varied menu and finish off the evening round the fire in a beautifully converted Welsh farmhouse. There are a variety of accommodation options to suit all needs including dormitories and smaller rooms with private facilities. We try to be as environmentally friendly as possible and encourage our guests to be the same.

At Danywenallt we want everything to run smoothly for your visit. Our aim is to make sure that you and your group always have a safe, enjoyable experience.

Discover our exciting activities menu (navigation bar, title 'What are the opportunities for schools')  which has been designed for the key stage two age group. However, we are happy to discuss activities for other year groups or to tailor programmes to meet the specific needs of your group. All activities are linked to the National Curriculum. They provide excellent opportunities for children to develop their key skills and for PSHE.
