An impressive Iron Age hillfort and the remains of a brick and tile works on land owned by Brecon Beacons National Park Authority.
OS grid ref SO 029304 (summit)
The flat summit of the hill affords panoramic views across the Usk Valley taking in Brecon and the Brecon Beacons. It offers a good vantage point to consider the fact that in times past, the Usk flowed through the valleys to the immediate north and south of the hill. Though largely concealed beneath vegetation, the hill is composed of the sandstones and mudstones of the St Maughan's Formation of the 'Old Red Sandstone'.
